Allow Less Secure Apps Access Gmail. Log in to your google account on the left navigation panel, click on security at the bottom of the page, in the less secure app panel, toggle the switch to on under less secure apps, select go to settings for less secure apps. Toggle the switch under allow less secure apps to on.
Screenshot below, the option to disable is missing: Gmail considers regular email programs and backup programs to be less secure, so in order for them to get access into your account, your allow less secure apps option must be turned on. This is the primary answer.
